Staff
Trustees and
Management Committee
Like most charities, there is a lot of behind the scenes work by our Trustees and the Management Committee.

Nick Archer
Chair of Trustees
Nick worked throughout his career in the NHS looking after children with heart conditions. After his retirement he moved to East Lothian with his wife to be near family.
He volunteers with DACYP particularly with the Lads’ Group and Life Walks.
He is now also the
Chair of Trustees.

Moira Cockburn
Trustee
Alongside bringing up our two daughters and supporting their families, my experience in employed and voluntary work is wide ranging. For many years, I worked in investment management before joining my husband in establishing our private hearing healthcare practice.
My involvement with various charities has included Dunbar's RNLI Shop Manager & Volunteer Co-ordinator, Spott Community Association Committee, Chair of Friends of The Byre Theatre (St Andrews), and, for those with very long memories, The Tufty Club.
I have been a Church of Scotland Elder for almost 40 years, including several years as Session Clerk and assisting with Sunday School leadership. I continue to be involved with our local church, and recently joined Dunbar Debt Advice Service as a volunteer adviser.

Alan Willoughby
Trustee
Professionally I served as an administrator for 45 years with Scouting; the last 8 as
Assistant Secretary at Scottish level. The previous 37 years I served as Secretary for the Edinburgh Area and latterly for South East Scotland Scout Council, focusing on ensuring effective administration at all levels and making sure that changing
legislation was covered correctly.
I have also served as a Trustee for a youth work project and for a church charity.
I am keen to support DACYP by helping it to plan its administration effectively.

Bill is also a board member at YouthLink Scotland the National Youth Work agency.
Bill lives in Stenton, East Lothian and has been a Church of Scotland elder for many years, he has been the Session Clerk at the Parish of Traprain since 2021.
In his spare time, he enjoys walking, travel and the theatre.

Neil Black
Trustee
I've been involved with DACYP since the beginning and am currently a Trustee as well as helping with Harbour Lights Xtra.
I think it's important that young people have exposure to the Christian faith and it's values being lived out in the community.

Tim Greene
Trustee
I am a retired statistician whose roles now include grandparent, preacher (Reader at Dunbar Parish Church), treasurer for Sustaining Dunbar, trustee of the Crunchy Carrot, hillwalker, and refugee support group volunteer. I'm delighted to support DACYP in its mission to bring the light of Jesus into the lives of young people growing up in our increasingly post-Christian society.

Anne Harvey
Chair of
Management Committee
Anne retired to Dunbar in 2020 with her husband having lived in England for all her working life.
A dual career as both a GP and a minister in the Church of England, as well as raising 4 daughters, forms her background in and connection to work with young people. Now serving as a non stipendiary priest at St Anne’s in Dunbar, her medical career ended at the end of the Covid vaccine roll out.
Anne has been chairing the management board since 2022 and gets involved in life bites and life walks events.

Dorothy Hilsley
Member of
Management Committee
Dorothy has lived in the Lothians all her life and spent her working life in education. She was a head teacher in East Lothian schools latterly and was honoured with an MBE for services to education in 2021.
Married to a Church of Scotland minister, Dorothy has been involved with ministry to children and young people through Sunday schools and the Brownies for many years.
She retired to Dunbar in 2020 and has been on the DACYP management board since 2021, currently serving as the safeguarding officer.

Jodie Boardman
Member of
Management Committee
Jodie is new to DACYP, and after a career as a social worker, is currently working at a church in North Berwick as the Child and Family Worker.
Loving life here in Dunbar with the ocean and woods, she is always ready for a laugh and happy to give anything active a go, especially with her 3 teenage boys.
Jodie brings a love to see people be their best and find God in everyday spaces. She currently volunteers with the DACYP Our Girls Group.

Fionna Payton
Member of
Management Committee
I was a teacher in Shetland for many years before moving to Dunbar in 2003 where I continued working as a teacher in the Support for Learning Department until 2022.
I enjoy volunteering in Dunbar Primary School and being involved in Lifebites.
Do you have skills and experience to share?
There are times when we are looking for additional Trustees and Management Committee Members.
If you would like to be involved in this way, please discuss this with one of the existing members.
